What we're about

Build a School's mission is to provide access to education for children in rural Zambia. Education is the key to reducing poverty, HIV/AIDS and malaria rates, and preventing early marriages.

To date, our organization has helped fund the construction of a two-room schoolhouse, teacher's housing, and a drilled well with a handpump in the community of Chishi, in Central Province.

Our current project is a feeding program to increase school attendance. We have started an organic garden and chicken rearing program to support our volunteer teachers with the help of our local Zambian partner, the Green Living Movement (GLM).

With your help, the 2021 PTA is spearheading a soya bean, maize, and potato field to supplement the feeding program.

CREATE OPPORTUNITIES

To help make an impact in Zambia, please make a secure donation using PayPal. You can feel comfortable knowing 100% of your donations will be used to support our school in Zambia.

What started out as a labor of love is growing an ever increasing base of supporters. We have had the opportunity to work with several organizations in Maine and North Carolina including the UNCA STEAM Studio, LEAF, Goodwill, The Salvation Army, Lowe's & Sam's Club. We also love visiting and partnering with schools. If you're interested in learning more about us or would like to host a fundraiser, please reach out via email.

Our mission has always been to help children in Zambia improve their lives by providing access to education. We work with dedicated communities who volunteer time and labor to see their schools built. This helps keep costs low, allowing us to reach as many children as possible.
